What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a modern dental treatment that consists of graduating clear trays to straighten your smile. These custom aligners can correct a variety of malocclusions or bite misalignments, such as crooked, crowded, and gapped teeth. They can also address some overbites and underbites.
Our friendly team will perform an exam of your teeth and jaws to determine if Invisalign is the most effective treatment for your bite misalignment.
How Does Invisalign Work?
Clear braces are custom aligners that apply pinpoint pressure to gently shift your teeth into their optimal position. You will wear a set of trays for approximately 22 hours each day for two weeks before graduating to the next set of aligners. Each set brings you closer to achieving your smile goals.
Due to the stringent requirements and discipline needed for this process to work, we only offer Invisalign clear aligners to responsible teens and adults, starting at age 12.
Our Invisible Braces Process
The moment you walk into our practice, you know you're a priority. Our team takes the time to talk with you and actively listens to you to serve you better. We begin our Invisalign process with a gentle and thorough exam of your teeth, jaws, and gums. Our friendly team will take digital impressions with our iTero® scanner to create precise and detailed molds of your dental structures.
We will discuss the findings of our exam with you and craft a treatment plan that is tailored to you and your specific needs and lifestyle. Next, we send the digital impressions and information to a trusted lab to create your set of graduating trays.
Once we receive your set of aligners from the lab, we call you in for a final fitting. During this visit, we will check to verify that the invisible trays fit you correctly and provide tips and information to care for and clean your trays. We will also set up follow-up appointments so we can check on your progress through treatment and make any adjustments that are necessary.
Our practice also offers traditional braces as an alternative orthodontic treatment. The dentist will discuss the details and advantages of both options so you can decide which treatment works best for you.
